Assess and manage an emergency care situation during an outdoor recreation activity. This course is delivered in the outdoor environment and focuses on providing first aid in that setting, utilizing best practice (equipment on hand), and improvising materials from the local environment. Working as a team, as well as managing the first aid situation alone and often in remote locations (where help arriving may be delayed) is also a focus of this course. Attendees must hold a current New Zealand First Aid Certificate.
Are you looking for a team-building activity?
Do you work in remote locations?
Do you lead groups of people?
Do you go camping, hunting or tramping?
If you answered yes to any of these questions then our Outdoor First Aid Course is for you. Placed in a variety of first aid scenarios, your first aid knowledge will be put to the test. You will leave our course feeling empowered with new confidence, leadership and team building skills.
