Quote from WorkSafe NZ:
How many trained first aiders you need will depend on the hazards in your workplace, the number and location of employees and how close you are to medical services. Think about how to ensure first aid cover is provided on all shifts, and when some of your first aiders are on planned or unplanned absences.
Contact us to discuss your requirements. 03 4543040 or email: office@wpfirstaid.co.nz
Quote from WorkSafe NZ:
“Employers must take all practicable steps to develop procedures for dealing with emergencies that may arise while employees are at work. As part of meeting this responsibility, employers must have procedures for ensuring that an injured employee receives first aid and/or medical treatment.
Rapid response is important and all businesses will want to ensure that any injuries or suffering are not made worse by unnecessary delays in treatment. The best way of doing this is to have at least one qualified first aider available in every place of work.”
There is a 3-month grace period after your certificate expires.
During this time, you are still eligible to complete a Re-Certification course.
If more than 3 months have passed since your certificate expired, you will need to complete the full Workplace First Aid or Comprehensive First Aid course again.
You are also welcome to renew your certification before it expires if that timing works better for you.
We recommend booking early to ensure you secure a spot that fits your schedule.
