COVID-19 Training update - Level 2

Our Clients safety and well-being continues to be our first priority as we move into Level 2 and returning to offering our Public Courses with reduced numbers and revised temporary protocol.

** These are our new temporary ways of teaching and assessing our courses to keep our Instructors and Clients safe during Level 2 **

At the start of the day the role call is completed by the instructor who then ticks off everyone at the course as attended. No Clients to use the laptop only the instructor. If they can see information is missing the instructor should find that person prior to the course starting and the instructor fills in the missing information.

Advise everyone on the course about personal space during the day (Recommended 1 meter apart) and to wash and dry their hands regularly during the day and they must wash their hands prior and after using our manikins. This helps helps ensure a safe clean environment for all at the course.
Gloves will be available for use during practical learning and assessments.

Instructors to put aside a baby, child and adult manikin that only they will use during the day.

Chest compressions still must be performed. (gloves available for this).

DRSABCD is to be performed on manikins.

Stable side is to be performed on themselves.

AED trainer is to only be used by the instructor.

Bandaging is to be performed on themselves.

Sling is to be just self swing sling. We recommend Clients bring their own long sleeved top/ thermal for this.

Assessment:

Wash and dry hands.

Normal assessment for 6402 just simulated breaths.

Wash and Dry hands.

Please note for 6401 and 6400 assessment no swapping of cards and they mark their own form off. (Again this is just temporarily)

6401 just the same as now but more distance between people. (Verbal assessment)

6400 will be assessed using manikins during this time.

The Instructor is to staple the forms together.

Manikins are to be wiped down with disinfectant wipes after each course.

We are also reducing the amount of people who can attend our public courses to help achieve the space required for each person.

*** Please note during Level 2 we are unable to use the kitchen facilities at our venues. Clients are welcome to bring along their own drink bottle/ hot drink but we ask you to remember to remove this at the end of the day ***

If you still have questions regarding this, require assistance to make bookings or reschedule bookings please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Awwwww Tracy that was a hard watch. You are one amazing mumma. ❤️

Thank you for sharing your story Tracy Hudson and powerful message to us all 🥰

Wow Tracy that is super scary stuff! What an amazing skill to have. I absolutely need to renew my skills.

This made we tear up! Terrifying!! Glad all ended well 😉

OMG Tracy!!! Thank God you knew what to do and didn't panic....a very scary situation...

That is so scary! Well done to you. Xxx

Just seen this today Tracy, very well done on remaining calm and for acting quickly. It shows the importance of first aid training as with it your brain and its memory of what it has learned will kick in, without it the panic can take over. Great story to share and one that proves why doing a WFA course is so important, love to all xx

Well done buddy
