The awards process was great to be a part of and we would strongly encourage other businesses to put their hand up and enter in 2018.
The 2016 Westpac Otago Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards was a great process for us to be involved with. This was the first time Workplace First Aid Training have put ourselves forward for an award and to make the final in two different categories was a real “wow” moment for us.
We needed to enter the awards because we need independent experts looking at what we do and giving us the tick or green light so to speak. We received that verification just by making the finals and to come away with the Future Business Leader has given me validation that our business plan and our future goals are realistic and motivating.
As a direct reflection of us gaining an award, we have had two large companies sign three year service agreements with us. We have also had many, many amazing emails, phone calls, an ODT write up and international feedback via Facebook.
We would strongly encourage other businesses who need independent validation or recognition to put their hand up and enter the 2018 Westpac Otago Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
